Before knowing why do we have an activation called “Awesome School Tour”, here’s a brief introduction of “Awesome Academy”, proudly known to be the first professional e-Sports Academy in Vietnamf or Gen Z:
A little bit background on this…
As a brand, Samsung Galaxy A was facing a huge challenge of “not being perceived as cool, young, and trendy” to Gen Z.
While Gen Z are very digitally native, heavy technology users, and have significant purchasing power.
Now, how to make Gen Z care about us?
When talking about using phones or gaming by phones, most (asian) parents have a negative mindset about playing games. Many people criticize playing games as an injurious behavior.
But little did they know…
Esport has always been one of the official sports in many sports tournaments.
More and more young people have a big ambition to become professional gamers. Therefore, gaming is more positively received by the majority of young people.
Especially, Gen Z makes doing awesome looks effortless
but no one sees the gratitude, passion & effort
So SAMSUNG is here to empower Gen Z to create AWESOMENESS in a way that talks their language.
Hence,

NOW HERE IS ACTUALLY WHERE I STEPPED IN AND CARRIED ON
We have recruited aspiring trainees and documenting the efforts and rigours they go through to graduate.
Now we need a sustainable campaign to play as a continuation of Awesome Academy and keeping heat for the next season.

Graduated from the first digital gaming academy, Awesome Academy champions have been fully equipped with everything from pro gaming skills to opening up career conversations.
But the hero’s journey should never end there.

We’ve got a mission prepared for them.
Bringing them on a tour to meet up with gaming peers who just like they were.
Allowing them to play the role of real talent scouts.
To trigger curiosity and registration, we hard launched the KV on over the nation
from online, with the official microsite
to on ground.

Then finally, we embarked on the tour…

In the span of 4 weeks, the tour travels from the North to the South, gathering the most talented players all over the country…
…to compete in the final battle, which took place in Ho Chi Minh city.
